Day 1 – Arrival in Yerevan

Welcome to Armenia! Upon arrival at Yerevan International Airport, meet your guide and transfer to the hotel. Standard check-in time is 15:00. If arriving early, enjoy a short orientation walk around the neighborhood.

Day 2 – Yerevan City Tour & Brandy Tasting

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your exploration of Armenia’s vibrant capital with a visit to the Mother Armenia monument, where sweeping views over Yerevan offer the perfect introduction to the city. Continue to the Matenadaran Museum of Ancient Manuscripts, home to a vast collection of literary treasures dating back to the 9th century. From there, take a walking tour through the impressive Cascade Complex, a giant limestone stairway adorned with contemporary sculptures, and enjoy the artistic atmosphere of the open-air museum. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue your panoramic drive around Yerevan, passing by the Opera and Ballet Theater, Parliament, and Republic Square. Day 3 – Khor Virap Monastery, Etchmiadzin & Zvartnots

Today’s journey begins with a scenic drive to Khor Virap Monastery, set dramatically against the backdrop of snow-capped Mount Ararat. As one of Armenia’s most sacred sites, Khor Virap is where Saint Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for 13 years before the nation’s conversion to Christianity in 301 AD. Optional: participate in a blessing ceremony by a local priest in the Church of Mother Mary. Continue to Etchmiadzin, the spiritual heart of Armenia and seat of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Visit the 4th-century Etchmiadzin Cathedral—believed to be the world’s oldest Christian cathedral—and the Treasury Museum, which holds rare religious relics including a piece of Noah’s Ark and the Holy Lance. Lunch will be served at the Machanents Cultural Center, where optional workshops such as pottery, traditional dance, or Armenian cooking are available. Day 4 – Amberd Fortress, Wine Experience & Traditional Music

After breakfast, leave Yerevan and head to the slopes of Mount Aragats to visit the medieval fortress of Amberd, perched at an altitude of 2,300 meters. Often called the “Fortress in the Clouds,” Amberd dates back to the 7th century and offers sweeping views of surrounding valleys and snow-capped peaks. Weather permitting, an optional excursion to Lake Kari at 3,200 meters is available. The journey continues to Armenia Wine Factory in the heart of Aragatsotn Province. Day 5 – Geghard Monastery, Garni Temple & Symphony of Stones

This morning, depart for the UNESCO-listed Geghard Monastery, a spiritual masterpiece carved into the cliffs of Azat Gorge and dating back to the 4th century. Enjoy the haunting beauty of a live choir performing medieval Armenian chants inside one of the monastery’s cave chapels. Continue to the nearby village of Garni to explore the only surviving Greco-Roman pagan temple in Armenia, built in the 1st century and dedicated to the sun god Mithra. Afterward, participate in a traditional lavash-baking ceremony and taste this iconic Armenian flatbread with local cheese and herbs. Day 6 – Lake Sevan, Dilijan & Haghpat Monastery

After breakfast and check-out, journey to the sapphire-blue waters of Lake Sevan, one of the world’s largest high-altitude freshwater lakes. Climb the 200 steps to Sevanavank Monastery, a 9th-century complex offering panoramic views of the lake and mountains. Optional: enjoy boat activities such as a cruise or sailing on a J/70 yacht. Next, head to Dilijan—known as the "Switzerland of Armenia"—where you'll walk along the cobblestone lanes of Sharambeyan Historic Street, visit artisan workshops, and discover the town’s 19th-century architectural charm. Wander through the cobbled streets lined with traditional houses featuring wooden balconies, and explore Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica—the city’s oldest surviving church. Hop into 4WD vehicles for an off-road drive to the 14th-century Gergeti Holy Trinity Church, perched at 2,170 meters and set against the backdrop of majestic Mount Kazbek. After soaking in the views, continue to a local family home for a hearty Georgian lunch. Optional: join a hands-on workshop to learn how to prepare khinkali, Georgia’s iconic dumplings. Day 10 – Gori, Stalin Museum & Uplistsikhe Cave Town

After breakfast and check-out, begin your drive toward central Georgia and arrive in the town of Gori, birthplace of Joseph Stalin. Visit the Stalin Museum to see his preserved childhood home, memorabilia, and personal railway carriage. Continue to a nearby local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Uplistsikhe, an ancient cave town carved into the rock above the Mtkvari River. Dating back to the 1st millennium BC, Uplistsikhe features a unique blend of pagan and early Christian architecture and served as a vital political and religious hub. Explore its narrow alleys, rock-hewn halls, and hidden chambers before driving back to Tbilisi in the early evening. After check-in at your hotel, enjoy your final night in the Georgian capital at leisure.

Day 11 – Kakheti Wine Region & Sighnaghi

Today, set out for the eastern Kakheti region, Georgia’s famed wine-producing area. Drive through the scenic Alazani Valley, surrounded by towering Caucasus peaks and rolling vineyards. Your first stop is the fortified town of Sighnaghi, known for its cobbled streets, carved wooden balconies, and breathtaking views. Stroll through the charming old town before continuing to a local winery or family estate. Here, enjoy a delicious lunch paired with local wines, learn how traditional Georgian bread is baked in a tone oven, and observe the making of Churchkhela—Georgia’s famous sweet made of grape must and walnuts. After a relaxing afternoon in the countryside, return to Tbilisi in the evening.
