Tour Plan

Day 1 – Arrival, Istanbul

Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport, transfer to the hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure, allowing time to rest or begin exploring the city independently.

Day 2- Istanbul Old City

Start your adventure in the historic Hippodrome, a former chariot-racing arena that witnessed countless events in its storied past. Here, you'll discover the Obelisk of Theodosius and the Serpent Column, both cherished remnants of Byzantine history.

Stand in awe of the stunning Blue Mosque, also known as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque. Its impressive domes, intricate tilework, and towering minarets create a truly mesmerizing sight that defines Istanbul's skyline.

After lunch, venture into the awe-inspiring Hagia Sophia built in the 6th century, a masterpiece of architectural ingenuity and a symbol of Istanbul's enduring legacy. Marvel at its intricate mosaics, soaring dome, and the palpable sense of history within its walls.

Then, descend into the subterranean world of the Basilica Cistern, an ancient underground reservoir. Delve into the mysterious atmosphere as you stroll among the submerged columns and illuminated pathways, feeling as though you've stepped back in time. Conclude the day at the Grand Bazaar, the largest and oldest covered market of the world.

Day 3 - Mardin

Today, take an early morning flight to Mardin. Upon arrival, visit the historic Deyrulzafaran Monastery, one of the oldest Syriac Orthodox monasteries, then continue to the ancient city of Dara to see its Roman-era ruins and rock tombs. Stroll through Mardin’s Old Town, with its narrow stone streets, traditional architecture, and panoramic views of the Mesopotamian plains.

After the tour, drive to Diyarbakır and check in at your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure.

Day 4 - Diyarbakır

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, explore Diyarbakir’s Old Town, including the historic 10 Arches Bridge, a bridge used along the Silk Road over the Tigris River. Visit the Great Mosque of Diyarbakır, considered the oldest mosque in Anatolia and possibly the oldest in Turkey, and the beautifully restored Surp Giragos Armenian Church, one of the largest Armenian churches in the country. Stroll through the narrow streets of the old city, admire the traditional stone architecture, and enjoy the rich cultural heritage of Diyarbakır.

Day 5 - Adiyaman

Embark on a scenic drive to Nemrut Mountain, home to the remarkable temple complex built by King Antiochus I of the Kingdom of Commagene in the 1st century BC. Marvel at the colossal statues and monumental structures, where Antiochus I elevated his own statue to a divine status, symbolically sharing the space with the gods. This extraordinary site is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage treasure.

After the tour, continue to your hotel in Adıyaman for check-in, with the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 6 - Şanlıurfa

After breakfast, drive to Göbekli Tepe in Şanlıurfa, one of the world’s oldest known temple complexes, dating back to the 10th millennium BCE, featuring massive stone pillars adorned with intricate animal carvings.

Continue to the Sanliurfa Archaeology Museum, home to remarkable artifacts from the region’s rich history, and then visit Balıklıgöl, the sacred pool of Abraham, famous for its serene atmosphere and carp-filled waters. The day concludes with Sıra Night with Dinner, a traditional cultural gathering where live Turkish folk music is accompanied by folk dances and entertaining games, offering an immersive local experience.

Day 7 - Gaziantep

Drive to Gaziantep in the morning. Begin the day with a flavourful experience at one of the city’s famous baklava stores, indulging in the sweet Turkish pastry made of phyllo and nuts.

Continue to the town of Halfeti, located on the east bank of the Euphrates River, and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Embark on a captivating boat excursion along the Euphrates, offering a close-up view of partially submerged buildings, a poignant reminder of the town affected by the dam construction in the 1990s. Return to Gaziantep to visit the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, home to an extraordinary collection of Roman mosaics and ancient artifacts, showcasing the region’s rich heritage.

Day 8 - Cappadocia

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Adana. Upon arrival, explore the historic Taşköprü, a Roman-era stone bridge spanning the Seyhan River, and the iconic Büyük Saat (Clock) Tower, one of the tallest clock towers in Turkey. Enjoy a brief introduction to the city, followed by a traditional Adana kebab lunch, savouring the region’s famous culinary specialty. After lunch, continue your journey to Cappadocia, taking in the scenic landscapes along the way.

Start your tour today with a visit to Dervent Valley, renowned for its otherworldly rock formations sculpted by nature into imaginative shapes, offering a striking introduction to Cappadocia’s surreal landscape. Day 10 - Cappadocia

Continue your adventure in Avanos, renowned for its millennia-old ceramic tradition, guests observe master artisans at work, learning about the use of red clay from the Kızılırmak River and time-honoured pottery techniques passed down through generations.

The day concludes with a stop at the iconic Three Beauties fairy chimneys, one of Cappadocia’s most photographed landmarks, before transferring to the airport for an evening flight back to Istanbul, bringing this immersive journey through Cappadocia’s natural and cultural wonders to a graceful close.
