Topkapi Palace & Harem: An extensive tour of the residence of the legendary Ottoman Sultans, now converted into a museum. It consists of several exhibition halls, such as the Treasury, the porcelain section, the armory, and the rooms devoted to holy relics.
And then, a delicious lunch in a quaint local restaurant.
City Walls Constantinople: Initially built by Constantine the Great, surrounded the new city, protecting it against attack from both sea and land. As the city grew, the famous double line of the Theodosian Walls was built in the 5th century. Ultimately, the city fell from the sheer force of Ottoman forces on 29 May 1453 after a 6-week siege.
The Chora Church: (Kariye Muzesi), was originally built as part of a monastery complex outside the walls of Constantinople, to the south of the Golden Horn. Its fabulous Byzantine mosaics are set apart from the other major sights in the north-western corner of Old Istanbul.
Suleymaniye Mosque: Built under the order of Sultan Süleyman (Süleyman the Magnificent), drawn on the talents of the architectural genius of Mimar Sinan. The construction began in 1550 and finished in 1558.
This vast religious complex, called the Süleymaniye, Stands unmissably proud on the Istanbul skyline. The 16th-century Süleymaniye Mosque is one of the city’s largest and most beautiful mosque complexes, and the burial place of Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent and his wife Roxelena.
